I read a guide to writing about me pages that said you should start with something surpising or different. That's probably the thing I am asked about the most (that Christmas when Rage Against the Machine got to number one was slightly my fault).
To be honest I'd have said no anyway. Photography is what I have to do. With or without my camera I am taking pictures, some are saved to be shared and some are just in my head. It just happens.
Wasn't always this way, I grew up wanting to work for SETI, my telescope was my favourite toy and I went on to study Physics with Astrophysics at university. Quite fun for a blonde Essex girl called Tracy. Then I had my three sons. Over the years I fell in love with photography and here I am.
I love watching people and playing with the light, I'm not one to boss, I prefer to observe, get to know you a little, lurk a little and catch those funny or moving moments.

Ellie - Tracy was our photographer for our July wedding at Burgh House. From the start she was utterly professional but so friendly it was more like having a guest with a camera!
She has ninja stealth like skills at blending in during the ceremony, we didn't see her once, no-one felt at any point like they had a camera in their face, even those who hate having their picture taken were made to feel completely at ease.
Having seen her previous work, we were confident that the photos would come back great, but they are beyond great, she captured the story of our wedding perfectly, she responded to my suggestions made before the day and, amongst many other perfect shots, we have the picture we wanted and imagined, she made it happen.
Whenever we look at the photos, it brings it all back and we feel the rush of emotion and joy all over again. I would not hesitate to ask Tracy to photograph any future events, and I'll be recommending her to my friends if they ever get married!

Elaine - I met up with Tracy for a photo session in a hotel recently - a big treat for me, but well worth it. I was nervous. Very nervous! I'm very self conscious and critical of the way I look, but Tracy put me SO at ease that I soon forgot all about any issues. She was gently directive, ensuring that I was in a good position without making me feel uncomfortable at all. Her efficient, yet unobtrusive and friendly manner meant that I spent the whole time smiling, which shows though in the genuine good feel that comes out of the photos.
I now can't recommend Tracy highly enough. I came away on the day grinning from ear to ear and buzzing. Today I got my photo disk and am completely in awe - I look like a Hollywood starlet, not a tired mum of four!
These are pictures I will treasure for the rest of my life and never regret getting them done. When I'm old and wrinkly I'll look back on these and say Thanks Tracy, I was a bit of alright back in the day!
I'm already lining Tracy Morter up for other photography sessions I have in mind - my sister's 18th treat and another capturing my family just as we are - with the style that Tracy Morter specialises in the pictures are just as perfect if it's for an event, or simply fun family memories.
