On the way back from an autumnal shoot I picked up a pumpkin for the boys, joint of lamb and some red wine. Such lovely colours around today!
All this red reminded me to check out Florence and the Machine's new album too although the song for today had to be Mr E's Beautiful Blues, it came on in the car while the sun was shining.
Ewan and Cate got married in the sanctuary in the city... St Olave's near Fenchurch Street. This was Samuel Pepys' church.
We then headed on to King's Place for the reception. Guests were greeted with a quiz on the life and love of Cate and Ewan! There were a few clues on the screens behind the head table.
It was a wonderful day and I wish them well in their life together! They both have kind hearts and I'm sure together they will do much good in the world!

Just a quick personal post as it's half term and my boys are home! My little scruffy pumpkins went off to the hairdressers for a bit of sort out!
I was up bright and early today to go along and support my GP Dr Cormack in a protest outside his surgery in South Woodham Ferrers, and the PCT's offices in Chelmsford (they continued on to Downing Street). His practice is underfunded by the Primary Care Trust, the details are be explained by the man himself on the Greenwood Surgery's website. For a GP who goes above and beyond it's a shocking way for the NHS to treat him!

So I thought before I have an early night I'd take this opportunity to post a few of their engagement photos. They are fortunate in living in a beautiful part of Essex so we didn't have to go far to get some lovely pictures during golden hour. Just when that sun is setting. Then we headed back home for tea and meeting the cats!
Can't wait for tomorrow, they are such a fun couple and their day will be wonderful.

Back in June the talented James Readhead of
Caversham Photography in Southend asked me to assist him with a wedding he was shooting in Norfolk.
Despite the awful weather everything was just beautiful, especially the bride and groom! The village hall had been totally transformed into a beautiful vintage style venue, complete with pick and mix sweets and an ice cream van.
